Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan caretaker CMs sworn in

Justice (retd) Shiekh Ijaz Nisar has taken oath as the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Justice (retired) Abdul Qadir Halepota has been sworn in as the caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh and Sardar Saleh Mohammad Bhootani has taken oath as caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan. In Lahore the ceremony was administered by the Governor of Punjab, Khalid Maqbool. Along with the caretaker CM, seventeen members of the cabinet also took oath.
In Karachi, a fourteen-member caretaker cabinet also took oath for the Sindh cabinet. In Quetta, the Governor of Balochistan, Owais Ahmed Ghani, administered the oath to the CM and eleven members of the provincial cabinet.Caretaker chief ministers are taking oath of their offices in three provincial capitals following the completion of five-year term by the provincial assemblies.
In Lahore, the caretaker CM Nisar declared that forthcoming elections will be transparent. He added that the government should remain functional but the caretaker set up new projects would not be initiated in the interim government. Muhammad Aslam was sworn in as Health Minister, Doctor Arifa Syeda as Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Fakir Ejazuddin as Minister for Culture, Maqbool Elahi Malik as Minister for Human Rights, Mumtaz Mun as Minister for Livestock, Khusrshid Zaman as Minister for Agriculture, Khawaja Salah uddin Rumi as Minister for Industry, Barrister Mahmud.A Sheikh as Minister for Law, Sohail Afzal Chaudhry as Minister for Special Education, Dilawar Abbas as Minister for Irrigation, Mubashar Luqman as Minister for Information Technology and A. Kareem Malik as Minister for Prosecution.
Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ebad administered the oath to the cabinet at a ceremony at the Governor House. The new ministers and their portfolios are: Brig (retired) Zamin Akhter for Home, Dewan Yusuf Farooqi, for Finance, Shujaat Baig, for Education and Literacy, Fozia Lari, for Health, Syed Jalal Shah Jamote, for Planning and Development, Jam Karam Ali, for Environment and Information Technology, Arif Ali Abbasi, for Labour and Transport, Amber Raza Nancy, for Sports and Culture, Nadra Punjwani, for Women’s Development, Haji Irshad Memon, for Zakat and Ushr and Aijaz Shah Shirazi, for Food and Agriculture. The portfolios of three ministers, Dr Karim Mehar, Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi and Chaudhary Iftikhar, will be announced later. In Quetta, Governor Balochistan Owais Ahmed Ghani administered oath to the newly installed caretaker cabinet at the Governor's House. High level civil and military men and a number of tribal elites participated in the function. The new cabient members are- Amjad Rashid, Roshan Khursheed Barocha, Muhammad Murad Abro, Sardar Haider Khan Nasar, Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai, Arif Jan Muhammad Hassani, Attaullah Gul, Nawab Saifullah Magsi, Abdul Ghafoor Baloch, Aurangzai Jogezai and Sardar Saadat Hazara. Majority of the cabinet members have a tribal background.
The National Assembly was dissolved on 15th of November, while the NWFP provincial assembly was dissolved last month after the presidential election. Shams ul Mulk was sworn in as the caretaker CM at that point.
